You don’t have to always let us go first (it would be nice, but sometimes 😉). You don’t have to know how to cook, you don’t have to know how to lull a child to sleep, you don’t have to know how to read my mind, you don’t have to know about fashion or art to impress me. You don’t have to pretend to love opera, to be tough, and swallow tears down to your stomach instead of simply letting them flow from your eyes. You don’t have to lie to me that everything is fine and you’re not afraid of anything. In reality, you don’t need to do many of these things to be loved and to truly love, to be admired, and to grow in my eyes.
But THERE IS ONE THING YOU MUST KNOW, what you need, and what allows us women to survive by your side…

We feel lost, unloved, and abandoned when you don’t know that. Because when you don’t know that and just go with the flow, attacked from all sides by erroneous concepts of masculinity, lost and disconnected from yourself, there is no strength in you. You are weak, regardless of how high mountains you climb, how many kilometers you can run in marathons, or how much you lift at the gym. You are weak. I need an owl that sees and knows everything when it gets dark. I need a lighthouse that will show me where to go when my own energy unleashes a storm on the ocean of life.

In Tantra, Shakti represents feminine energy, and Shiva represents masculine energy. It’s you and me. Shakti, often referred to as divine feminine energy, represents the dynamic, creative, and transformative energy of the universe. She is the cosmic mother, the source of all power and energy. Shiva, the divine masculine aspect, is the essence of pure consciousness, representing peace, transcendent reality, and unchanging being. Shakti’s role is to drive, create, and transform. Shiva’s role is to be passive, an observing witness, providing a backdrop for Shakti’s dynamic, energetic dance. In other words, no matter how Shakti dances, how tempting she is, Shiva remains like a rock, steady and majestic. This attracts Shakti like sacred magnetism. In such complementarity, they can endure for ages.
WHY DO WE FIGHT EACH OTHER?
There are not many relationships nowadays that last and are like massive, solid ships on an unpredictable ocean, complementing each other like Shiva and Shakti. Somehow, we don’t know how to love each other with joy and without taking away the right to freedom. Isn’t that true?
Let me tell you how it happened.
One day, I wanted to regain freedom and liberate myself from your toxic patriarchy. I wanted my voice to matter, my word to mean something, so I reached for the 'gun.’ I wanted to be entrepreneurial like you, manage finances like you, drive a car like you, go to the military like you, travel wherever I want, like you. I fought for this for decades, and I succeeded! I have what I fought for! Now, I can be whoever I want: a police officer, a firefighter, a lawyer; I can load a gun and shoot, I can decide for myself. In this long war, unfortunately, I lost my femininity; there’s more cold blood in me than warmth. I’m freezing. In this relentless battle, I took away your masculinity. I became a prisoner because I created a new patriarchy, a female patriarchy inside me. Now, I act because I have to, not because I want to. In all of this, there was simply no balance and too much pride.
LET’S FIND A BALANCE
Our world, both masculine and feminine, wavers, sometimes towards one, sometimes towards the other side. The struggle is not only outside, between you and me but also inside us. Both of us have masculine and feminine aspects, but there is no harmony, no balance. Torn apart and fighting each other, we will never unite as one. We won’t be like Shiva and Shakti, who, when they unite, reach self-realization, divinity, ecstasy, and nirvana.
But there is a chance for us. If both of us return to the roots, to the teachings and practices of thousands of years ago, to Tantra, we can regain internal balance and unite, creating a divine, ecstatic, understanding, free, and loving relationship. I am so tired of the constant fight. You are so tired. We need each other.
